Really enjoying the propulsive post-2step/future garage transmissions on Don't Switch Off, the latest EP by London producer Richard Bultitude aka Point B. Opening track "Collective Origins" is particularly killer, an irresistible groove nicely interwoven with samples of traditional singing, probably of African origin. Take a listen below. Bleak, remarkably faithful minimal synth from Minneapolis by three-piece Claps on their latest tape Glory, Glory, striking despite that ongoing early 80s revivalism we've all been observing for the last few years. You usually can tell whether a song was recorded in 1983 or 2011, but in this case I wouldn't have been surprised at all to find "Shelter" on the latest Minimal Wave compilation, a resemblance that was achieved by the outfit's approach of employing solely analog gear and recording live in the studio. What's more, we got to say that's a really fine melody you got there. Glory, Glory is out now on cassette via Moon Glyph. Cheerful, insanely catchy pop tune by a young Italian-born producer who's just moved to London and records music as Mind Enterprises. No further info so far and only this single track, but a very promising one it is, we'd like to add, so get all smiling and dancing to the upbeat if subtly melancholic gem that is "Sister". Inga Copeland: “B.M.W.”

As you might remember, Inga Copeland's "Trample" was our second favorite track of 2011, and though we're very much into her and Dean Blunt's excellent joint effort Black Is Beautiful, we've been eagerly waiting for new solo stuff to surface. Last night "B.M.W." was put up on the duo's Soundcloud, and the track, which will appear on a forthcoming 12 inch named Faith, builds on Copeland's obvious pop affinities and is less murky and eerie than the stuff on her first solo EP. Above a slow, simple bassline and a restrained rhythm, her skilled and pretty voice stands out more than ever before. No further details on the 12 inch so far, but we'll keep you updated. Savannah, Georgia, based Cc, formerly known as C Powers, first crossed our paths back in January with his new beat-focused project that we decided to deem "classic Chicago-informed" while he apparently likes to call it "post office house". Be that as it may, the tracks that are gathered on his debut EP Up Wind are pretty huge, wildly entertaining and most of all executed with a surprising amount of confidence. This is the work by someone who knew exactly what's in the game when he dropped his former psych-leaning murkiness in favor of the polished opalescence of the dancefloor. Well done. Portland, Maine's Matthew Lajoie is a man of many projects, and lately he has kept himself busy releasing and touring with Planets Around the Sun and his latest venture Brainshadows. Ever since the dissolution of his principal group Cursillistas however, Lajoie's main creative focus has been Herbcraft. After two excellent LPs on Hello Sunshine and a cassette via Fuck It Tapes, both Woodsist spinoffs, this year Lajoie returns with two new releases of his signature psych-induced outsider folk. Before the third proper Herbcraft record arrives this fall, a new limited edition tape comes next week to bridge the gap. Flowering contains ten fresh transmissions of opaque and somber yet delightfully ambitious and sprawling explorations. Listen to the expansive, slow-burning and otherworldly instrumental "Journey to the Center of Your Hive" below. Flowering will be out July 9 on UK-based Julia Dream Recordings in an edition of 99 tapes. The new imprint has no website yet, but distribution will happen via Volcanic Tongue.
